RIDE FOR THE CURE

From 19 to 21 July 2024

The Ride for The Cure is a three-day bike ride through the most beautiful spots of the Vosges Mountains. The 5th edition will take place again in 2024 in Le Markstein with renewed routes.

On day 3 you will ride the final Tour de France 2023 stage. Each day you will discover a new part of Vosges. Three days of cycling with extensive supply stations!

In addition to 3 road rides, we have 3 beautiful gravel stages that take you through the forests of the Vosges Mountains.

Beautiful gravel roads interspersed with the occasional single track are on the menu. All participants get all gpx's anyway so you can alternate road and gravel !

All routes start and end in Le Markstein. For this edition we have designed completely new courses for days 1 and 3.

All routes will be ridden via GPS and GPX and everyone may combine Road and Gravel as they choose. Are the rides too long , you can always shorten them.

Think Pink is the national breast cancer organization in Belgium. Think Pink is committed to making people more aware of breast cancer and to this end works with governments, associations, companies, media and especially the public to help achieve its goals together.

As a participant in the Ride For The Cure, you can choose to make a one-time donation or you can choose to create your own fundraising page and get sponsored by friends and family.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Each day begins and ends at Le Markstein.
Days 1 and 2 are spent at the Hotel Wolf, near the centre of Markstein.
On day 3, we move to the Auberge du Steinlebach, 1.5 km from the centre of Markstein.
Please note that there is no parking at the Auberge.

On day 1 and 2, it is best to park in the centre of Markstein on the large gravel car park.
On day 3, park at the Hotel Wolf and take your bike to the Steinlebach.

Each participant receives ALL the GPX files one week before the event.
Courses are NOT indicated so you'll have to use the GPX-files all the time.
Please respect the start time of your distance as the opening hours of our refreshment points are based on the start times.

Water, isotonic drinks, coca-cola, Etixx energy bars, sandwiches, sweet and savoury snacks and other goodies will be available at the refreshment points.

No changing rooms are provided

Showers are provided at Auberge du Steinlebach in Le Markstein.
This service is free of charge.

There is no 'storage of sports bags'.

 

This is a charity event. We're raising funds for THINK PINK.
You can make a one-off donation starting from €5,00 during your registration or choose to create a personal fundraising page, which you will send to friends and family (individually or in groups). If you commit yourself to this, Sportevents will pay for your registration and you will cycle for free!
